European Coordination Against Precarity Call, Strasbourg (France), June 11, 2006
Despite a generalised state repression, we, precarious, marginals, university and high-school students, unemployed, retirement pensioners, continue to fight against precarity generated by this alienating capitalistic system.
We have met together in a unitarian and european coordination to contribute to the organisation, at an international level, of this fight. Bringing together our different struggle experiences and rejecting any form of hierarchy brought us to adopt a non-bureaucratic and self-managed organisation.
The european character of these struggles comes from the multiplication and the superposition of constraint structures, particularly the European Union, which tend to impose a coordinated policy in all the economical, political, cultural and social domains of the member states.
The lengthening of active life, the education reform, the social protection systems reform, are inscribed in their declared objectives.
The displayed ambition is therefore to get social european policy into a profitable neo-liberal logic whose aim is to serve the interests of a political and economical aristocracy which decides alone, without consulting the peoples.
Our struggle has revealed a social and political crisis. It isn't an ordinary fever, but the manifestation of a whole system crisis. The capitalistic logic is in the accused box. Capitalism cannot give any positive social reform. Moreover, it is even forced to dismantle old social conquests. All the appalling right-wing and parliamentarian left-wing leaders carry out with method shades the same policy for the same predator economic system.
The human, environmental, economical et affective catastrophe henceforth binds States to employ excessive means in order to perpetuate the economical order. The reinforcement of prison environments (gaol, army, retirement homes, psychiatric hospitals) as well as the carceralisation of other living spaces (school, workplaces, streets, hospitals, suburbs) is the sole means used to indoctrinate individuals and stifle any behaviour not belonging to the established norm.
Moreover, we denounce all the structures which participate at more or less advanced levels in the co-management and the reproduction of the system. Amongst them, the mass media collaborates in the preservation of this de facto state by carrying out a volontary disinformation. To compensate for this information carency, we call to the realisation of new communication means and have, using the opportunity of the Coordination, proceeded in the realisation of an international newspaper and a web-site (http://nologik.free.fr) to which everyone is invited to contribute.
We encourage you to inform yourselves on the state of the mobilisation in other countries (Greece, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Portugal, UK, Chili,...) as well as to create networks with them. Furthermore, we insist on the necessity to stay mobilized during the summer period, regarding the legislative works to come.
We remind you that, altogether, united in the fight against precarity, we must remain in a joint solidarity and favour the convergence of the struggles by meetings and actions at local, regional, national and international levels.
In the continuity of the struggle movements, we call for an international unitary coordination in Avignon on the 5th and 6th of July, 2006, and to participate simultaneously in the sabotage of its festival, symbol of a venal culture.
A national actions day is organised, in France, on June 30th 2006, date on which children and their parents paperless will be tracked down so as to be deported.
We invite you to join the demonstrations forecasted in Germany : in Hamburg and Wiesbaden, on the 28th June 2006 for free education; in Freiburg, on the 1st July against social housing privatisation and the 3rd July for free education; in Francfurt on the 6th July for a central demonstration.
We demand nothing. This system must be banished.
Only one cry :
Resistance !
