HELLO EVERYBODY!
First of all, who are we
We are students, workers, young and less young, precarious people, parents or future parents… We’re that kind of people who fought, a few months ago, against the C.P.E… But not only…
From the start of the protest movement, our claims included far more than this umpteenth precarious employment contract the government wanted to impose on us.
The C.P.E. was just a tiny part of the Law about Equality of Chances (the “L.E.C.”, of which we still demand abortion), it was the top of the iceberg… Getting involved in this movement encouraged us to deeply study the numerous proposals and bills of the present governments and allowed us to get a global vision of the governmental policy these last few years.
As we looked for information on our own, we were able to get some distance and to be no more subjected to media influence.
Then we got aware of how much our democracy was put into question. How much the word “freedom” was going to lose sense in our country.
Because every one of us denounces this society, because we have been hearing for a long time: “things can’t go on this way…”, because we got aware that the situation was far harder than we thought, we decided to put our studies, our personal projects, our lives aside and go on with a united movement to fight.
We do not belong to any association, union, organisation or any other establishment. Because we think we could not stay independent if we were legally or in any other way recognized by the official system.
We are simply individuals who share their willingness and abilities to inform and warn people.
Repression only strengthens our convictions and determination to “resist”. We will not give up. We will achieve to live and pass on a society in which economic interests won’t prevail on human ones.
But our task is complicated by an avalanche of legislative texts and a strategy of dispersion of law texts aiming to cloud the issues: it’s a spider's web spun slowly, hidden by “security and morality” propaganda speeches whose aim is to “frighten” and justify obsolete controlling policy on our professional and private lives: for example, the education of our children.
On reading these words, you must think that we are exaggerating, you must believe, as we did before you, that all of this couldn’t possibly be in our democracy: then ask yourselves why we are this fierce. Each one of us has his own preoccupations, we are just like you, so why did we think that reacting was that urgent
Because we are informed… that is the only way to get a critical vision and understanding of the emergency of the situation.
Providing you written documents directly is not possible, all those texts which are published at present by the government, as well and especially those from all the professionals and associations that desperately noise the alarm, but which are absolutely not relayed by the media.
Therefore, we have tried to group a list of links to websites on which you can find this information and make your own opinion. You can find these links and the news of our movement on our blog: http://strasbourgenlutte.over-blog.org, We invite you, if you wish, to spread this information around you, to provoke debates and to make yours the political debate.
We know that, because of a lack of time, because our lives drive us to run constantly, it seems uneasy to find some time for that quest of information.
Yet, we assure you that this step is now essential for saving what remains of our freedom, as well as the freedom of our children or future children.
We will continue anyway with the means we have at our disposal, to warn and fight through concrete acts, and also to organize a convergence of fights, at a European level: a united European Coordination Against Precariousness will take place on Strasburg’s central campus on June 9th, 10th and 11th, 2006.
We meet each day at 12:30 PM at the
We invite you to get aware of the “Call to the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the National Resistance Council Programme of the 15th of March of
We cannot stay impassive and deaf to all of that.
It is up to each and every one of us to take his or her responsibilities.
